1. What is the function of the CPU?
A microprocessor also known as a CPU is a complete engine that is made up on a single chip.

2. What was the name of the first CPU?
The first CPU was the Intel 4004, It was introduced in 1971. The 4004 was not very powerful all it could do was add and subtract, and it could only do that 4 bits at a time.

3. Referring to the graph on page 2 of the article, describe how the speed of CPU’s has changed.
The CPU speed has became alot more faster over time.

4. What does MIPS measure?
MIPS (millions of instructions per second) measures of the performance of a CPU.


5. What is a dual core processor, what is multitasking and how do the two work together.

DURAL CORE PROCESSOR:
