In challenge 1 i have chosen an helicopter to be my costume, i chose this because the helicopter is a suitable costume for gliding challenge.
As it giles it reaches the edges and bounces back and keeps reapeting.
ILOVEMARINAA!
We have created and finished our website.We used piczo, to put it together...Come and check out our website.. it's just one mouse click away!
http://ChristineMarina.piczo.com
ENJOY!!
Marina and i had got an ist assighment today and was told that we had to use piczo or pageflakes or anything other site that creates sites.
Marina and i deciced to test out the sites for expermenting we made a pageflakes and piczo pages and we came to the conclution of using piczo.
When we had choosen our site we then choose our topics which are the following:
- CPU
- RAM
- Piracy and Copyright
- DVD/CD
- Handheld
- Graphic cards
We started workng on cpu and are planning to finish the others in time, we are working together as they say two brains better as one:)
In todays lesson we go working on our ist assighment and finshed up cpu and worked on the rest copyright and priacy .dvd/cd, hanld devices.
We had turns doing each topic and managed to get it quicker that way.
In todays lesson we worked on our last 2 topics and managed to finish before the lesson ended.
We ahve completed our ist assighment.
1.What is a Digit
A digit is a single place that can hold numerical values between 0 and 9. Digits are normally combined together in groups to create larger numbers.
2.“normal” counting numbers used in everyday life are based on what sequence of numbers?They are based on the binary number system
3. Where does the word bit originate from?
The word bit is a shortening of the words "Binary digIT."
4.Binary numbers don’t use base 10. What base do they use? What digits are available in base 2? They use base 2. Digits avaliable in base 2 are increasing powers of 2.
5. What is a byte?Bits are rarely seen alone in computers. They are almost always bundled together into 8-bit collections, and these collections are called bytes.
6.How many bytes in a kilo, mega, giga and tera bytes.
kilo= 1,024
mega= 1,048,576
giga= 1,073,741,824
tera= 1,099,511,627,7767.
Complete the following conversions;
1000 Mb = 1Gb
500 Gb = 512 000Mb
500KB= 5MB
1. What is the function of the CPU?
A microprocessor also known as a CPU is a complete engine that is made up on a single chip.
2. What was the name of the first CPU?
The first CPU was the Intel 4004, It was introduced in 1971. The 4004 was not very powerful all it could do was add and subtract, and it could only do that 4 bits at a time.
3. Referring to the graph on page 2 of the article, describe how the speed of CPU’s has changed.
The CPU speed has became alot more faster over time.
4. What does MIPS measure?
MIPS (millions of instructions per second) measures of the performance of a CPU.
5. What is a dual core processor, what is multitasking and how do the two work together.
DURAL CORE PROCESSOR:
A dual core processor is a CPU with two separate cores on the same die, each with its own cache. It's the equivalent of getting two microprocessors in one.
MULTITASKING:
Multitasking, only one CPU is involved, but it switches from one program to another so quickly that it gives the appearance of executing all of the programs at the same time.
Dual-core processor gives you the processing power you need to multitask with ease. Download music, organise digital photos and run office software - all at the same time. Intel® Pentium® dual-core lets you do extraordinary things with everyday computing.
